Join our selection panel — help celebrate your community

We're looking for passionate locals to join the Selection Panel for the Citizen of the Year Awards. It’s a wonderful opportunity to recognise the extraordinary people who make the Mornington Peninsula a special place. 

Who we’re looking for

We warmly welcome applications from community-minded people who live or work on the Mornington Peninsula.  We value fresh perspectives just as much as seasoned ones. 

In forming the panel, we'll aim to bring together a mix of skills, perspectives, and community experience — because great decisions are made when many voices are heard. 

Time commitment

We've kept the commitment manageable. Successful applicants will be asked to: 

• Independently review and assess submitted nominations at a time that suits you 
• Attend a single meeting of around two hours, held later in the year (November or December). 

Some additional preparation time may be needed to shortlist nominations and ensure every candidate receives thorough consideration.
